Scrap metal recycling| Lifetime Achievement Awards

In 2016, recognising outstanding contributions to the metals recycling industry, the BMRA began issuing Lifetime Achievement Awards. The recipients are nominated by fellow recyclers and show the wealth of talent, expertise and experience across the metals recycling industry. Recipients are selected by the BMRA Board and they receive their awards at the Annual Dinner.

John Adam of J R Adam & Sons said of his Lifetime Achievement Award that he felt “humbled to be receiving such recognition in a room full of distinguished colleagues more deserving than me.”

Tony Bird OBE of the Bird Group said of his award, “May I thank all you members of the British Metal Recycling Association for this very special award. It has been great to be here tonight amidst the cream of the UK Recycling Industry.”

“Everybody plays their part, not just within S Norton, but throughout the supply chain. We recognise the contribution of the smaller operators in the metals recycling sector.
