An elephant sent in by Scott Newell of Newell Recycling Equipment. 

Scott says: "I found this elephant made from copper slag on my first day as manager of Newell Salvage Company of Phoenix, when I was 20 years old, which is now 65 years ago. This elephant has been on my desk every day since that time.

"It brings me pleasure to look at it and to consider its long life. I hope that it brings some pleasure to you also."
