This course is written specifically for ATFs by an electrically qualified, experienced and vehicle manufacturer trained engineer. An interactive course, it covers all of the different types of electric vehicles EVs) currently in the UK, including pure battery electric vehicles and all forms of hybrid electric vehicles. It sets out the risks involved in handling and making safe eELV ready for depollution, and demonstrates the correct processes, plant and equipment needed to safely isolate, disconnect, test and remove the battery from the vehicle, and covers key areas such as a general EV overview, EV specific health & safety, EV resources and information and a step-by-step walk through of how to receive, assess, isolate and handle an EV at end of life. This is all supported by videos and demonstrations, and options for resale or disposal of the battery and other components are discussed, including safe storage, transport and second life markets and candidates will receive a reference pack to keep on completion.
On successful completion of the course, candidates will receive an official IMI Personal Development Certificate (One Day Theory). Delivered by Elevate.
