New chair elected

The BMRA's Carbon Action Committee is rebranding to the Sustainability Committee.

This change reflects that the committee's portfolio goes beyond carbon, and includes policy, emission reduction and value chain collaboration.

Alongside the rebrand, the committee is also pleased to announce that Mike Hogan - EMR, has become the new Chair of BMRA's Sustainability Committee.

On his appointment and talking through the rebrand, Mike commented, “I was very pleased to be asked to chair the committee; re-branding to broaden its remit allows us to further support our sector on its net zero pathway. Metals recycling has always been at the heart of the circular economy, now we must push to further reduce our impact on the environment as a sector, illustrating the role of low carbon recyclates as part of the value chain.”
