Outstanding achievements and commitment to growth
BMRA member, Global Ardour Recycling Limited, a family-owned leader in metal recycling, proudly marks the anniversary of its operations with outstanding achievements and a commitment to future growth.
It has been 12 months since Global Metcorp and Ardour World acquired Recycling Lives’ scrap car and metal businesses, forming the new Global Ardour Recycling Ltd. As part of the acquisition, the business purchased the assets and leases of the former operation, safeguarding existing jobs and contributing to local employment opportunities. With a national presence established through ten strategically located sites across the UK, the company has built a strong foundation for growth and expansion. In its inaugural year, it has processed 500,000 tonnes of metal and responsibly recycled 120,000 vehicles.
This milestone year highlights Global Ardour Recycling’s financial success, with the company surpassing initial revenue forecasts. This financial robustness has allowed for significant reinvestment in infrastructure and plant machinery, ensuring that operations remain efficient, sustainable, and aligned with the industry standards.
A core component of Global Ardour Recycling’s strategy is its steadfast commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. The company has actively reduced its carbon footprint while supporting a variety of community initiatives, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to creating positive social impact. These efforts have reinforced Global Ardour's reputation as a socially responsible and forward-thinking enterprise, attracting partners and clients who share a commitment to sustainability.
"Our first year has been a remarkable journey of growth, collaboration, and responsibility," said Sanjay Singhal, Associate Director.
“We are proud of the progress we've made and are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead in the coming year. Our team, which feels like an extended family, have shown true dedication and loyalty to the business over the past 12 months and it’s to their credit that we have been able to carry forward our mission of delivering exceptional recycling solutions that benefit both the environment and the communities we serve”.
Global Ardour Recycling is actively addressing industry challenges, including the risks associated with lithium-ion batteries. By engaging with industry stakeholders, the company has opened dialogue and is actively exploring strategies to mitigate these hazards, ensuring safe and sustainable operational practices.
As Global Ardour looks to 2025, the company plans to expand, exploring new markets and opportunities for innovation. This future-oriented approach ensures that Global Ardour Recycling will continue to lead in the recycling sector, maintaining its momentum and impact.
