Thank you once again to members and guests who helped to raise over £13,000 for the BMRA President's Charity 2024, Guide Dogs. 

As part of our fundraising, we will support a puppy through its first year as it heads towards training to become a Guide Dog. What is more exciting, we get to name the puppy, and receive updates about its progress throughout the year. 

We are asking members to help give the puppy a metal-themed name. Once we have drawn a shortlist, members can vote for their favourites.

Guides Dogs do have some stipulations in regards to the name: 

• Suggested names will ideally be two syllables to help when training, and they can’t rhyme with our training commands. Please consider how our trainers and future owners may feel with any unusual or creative suggestions.
• We ask where possible that you suggest both male and female names, or gender-neutral names, as we won’t know if we will get male or female puppies until the pups are born! Please be aware that if only one gender name is given, it will take us longer to gift your name to one of our pups.
