What does your job involve? Managing Southwark Metals’ ELVs which can range from taking enquiries to depollution. I also assist in running the yard.

What is the hardest part of your job? Long cold days in the winter.

What three things help you to do your job better? A positive outlook, our well-constructed team and our loyal customer base.

What are you most proud of in your career? Being the recipient of YBMR’s 2024 Rising Star Award.

What are the best and worst things about the metals recycling sector? The best - seeing the steps of recycling and realising the benefit they have for society. While the worst is the sheer workload involved in running a busy yard.

What is the best advice you have ever received? It was my Dad and he told me that the metals recycling industry is the best industry, and if there was any better, he would be doing it.
