Additional information:

These full cylinders are classed by law as a medicine. They have a thin aluminium body wrapped in composite fibres and resin bonded. The valves are predominantly stainless steel.

These cylinders contain medical oxygen at c200BAR. 2900psi and either opening or cutting these cylinders will cause a substantial release of pressure and ignition of any material around the cylinder. Oxygen is a strong oxidant and will self-ignite if released incorrectly. The risk of injury from tampering with these cylinders is high.

Flogas are very concerned that someone is trying to recycle these or may try to remove the valve without depressurising the cylinder or even just open the valve, any of which if done incorrectly or in the wrong environment could lead to a significant fire or even explosion. The valves in these cylinders are designed to retain pressure in the cylinder even when the gas appears to have stopped flowing and significant pressure and risk will still remain at this point.
